Terms of service
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms govern the services offered by prodbyluz. Project-specific terms (price, deadlines, revisions, deposit) are set out in the quote accepted by the client.
1. Provider and scope
Services are provided by Lucas Millet, sole proprietor (EI), trading as “prodbyluz”, SIRET 130 287 790 00013, 173 rue de Courcelles, 75017 Paris, France (the “Provider”), to any individual or company (the “Client”). They include mixing, mastering, Dolby Atmos mixing, recording, music production and composition. Placing an order implies acceptance of these terms, unless the quote states otherwise in writing.
2. Quote and order
Quotes are free, personalised and non-binding. There is no fixed rate: the price depends on the nature and scope of the project. An order becomes firm when the Client accepts the quote (signature or written agreement by email) and, where applicable, pays the deposit stated in the quote.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in euros. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French Tax Code. Payment terms (deposit, instalments, payment methods) are stated in the quote.
For business clients, late payment automatically triggers late-payment interest at three times the legal interest rate, plus a fixed recovery fee of €40 (Articles L.441-10 and D.441-5 of the French Commercial Code). No discount is granted for early payment.
4. Performance and deadlines
Deadlines are indicative and stated in the quote. They start once any deposit and all necessary materials (tracks, stems, references, instructions) have been received in the requested formats. A delay attributable to the Client postpones delivery accordingly.
5. Revisions
The number of included revisions is stated in the quote. Additional requests, or requests that substantially change the original project, may be subject to a supplementary quote.
6. Delivery
Files are delivered by download link or any other agreed means. The Client gives feedback within a reasonable time after delivery.
7. Intellectual property
The Client warrants that they hold the rights to the works, recordings and materials they entrust to the Provider. Mixing, mastering and recording services do not transfer any copyright in the Client's work. For original compositions and productions, the rights assigned and their scope are defined in writing in the quote or an assignment agreement.
Unless the Client requests otherwise, the Provider may cite the work as a reference (artist name, title, excerpt).
8. Consumers' right of withdrawal
Where the Client is a consumer and the contract is concluded at a distance, they have 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason (Art. L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code), by sending an unambiguous statement to prodbyluz@gmail.com.
If the Client expressly asks for the service to begin before this period ends, they must pay an amount proportionate to what has been provided up to the time they notify their withdrawal (Art. L.221-25). The right of withdrawal can no longer be exercised once the service has been fully performed before the end of the period, with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgement that they will lose their right of withdrawal (Art. L.221-28).
